| Why Did the Kestrels Nest in Yoido? Korea/1999/42min Producer: LEE Kyu-hwan/ CHANG Hae-rang Director: KIM Seoho Nicknamed the Manhattan of Seoul, Yoido is at the heart of the Korean economic and political scene. A family of Kestrel was followed closely for two months to investigate how and why these birds of prey came to nest in an apartment bathroom vent in the middle of the city. It was found that the kestrels were able to nest in Yoido because of the nearby Yoido Bayou Ecological Park established two years ago. The program is filled with vivid scenes of wildlife from the Yoido Bayou Ecological Park as well.
