In the year 2000, the end of the 20th century, Vietnam was seriously affected by natural disaster, especially the flood in Mekong Delta. People in the Mekong Delta had to live in privation and poverty without clean water. They had to use polluted river water for living, which could cause many serious diseases. This photo illustrates the extreme polluted Mekong Delta in the flood of the year 2000: people and animals have to use the same polluted water.
